In both techniques, follicles are extracted using FUE. In FUE Sapphire, sapphire-tip tools are used to prepare channels before placing the grafts, which is ideal for covering larger, completely bald areas with high density. In DHI, follicles are implanted directly with an implanter pen without pre-opening channels, making it better suited for adding density between existing hair.
